Secret 2 – HOW DO YOU DEFINE A SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR?

The dictionary defines an entrepreneur as a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, especially a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk.  How well do you understand what it takes to be an entrepreneur?

Characteristics of a successful entrepreneur include:

  • A  risk taker
  • Dislike working for others
  • Are highly flexible
  • Have determination
  • Are very passionate about their business idea
  • Dislike bureaucracy.

Answer these questions to rate the entrepreneurial characteristics of yourself as a business owner(s). On a scale from 1 to 5:

  • If your business plan considers the characteristics needed by the owner(s) for the success of the business, rate yourself a 5.
  • If your business plan does not outline the characteristics needed by the owners for the success of the business, but these characteristics are considered in the daily operation of the company, rate yourself a 4.
  • If you have a written business plan but cannot locate it, rate yourself a 3.
  • If your company has more than one owner and has a written business plan, but the plan does not define a successful entrepreneur, rate yourself a 2.
  • If you do not have a written business plan, rate yourself a 1.
